This from a show I absolutely love, The Graham Norton Show. Huge fan as are most celebrities. Better than most, if not all, chat shows here in the US. Great format. All the guests come out at the beginning. Sets up great interaction on the couch.

I love this story. When I’ve been in Cannes for the festival, there is always someone who smartly realizes an opportunity to impersonate. This year it’s this guy impersonating Psy and getting the star benefits for a coupla days

This just came out. Looks pretty cool. However, I’d be a lil’ more enthused if Christopher Nolan was DIRECTING and not just a producer on the film. But hoping his reboot of Batman rubs off on Superman in a dark, backstory kinda way.

I wrote this piece for the Huffington Post last Friday morning. I have no idea why it took the until Monday to post the damn thing. Anyway, since last Friday there have been more burglaries in Cannes affecting those attending the film fest. The head of the Chinese Film Delegation came back to his room only to discover everything of his was gone. Poof! To add insult to injury, he told reporters that when he went to the hotel staff for help, they wouldn’t even call the police. A three execs were leaving a Cannes nightclub and were accosted by a group of thugs who tried to pick pocket their wallets and more. Then another exec went back to his villa and everything was gone, computers, iPads, watches, women’s jewelry —save for passports and credit cards. What did the French Police do to help them? Nothing. They just told them they were lucky they weren’t in the room when the heist happened because they could have been badly hurt and that these kinds of thefts happen all the time. Really??

Always love the yummy breakfast at this hidden gem. It’s called the Yellow Vase. You will feel like you are in the South of France…the Cote d’ Azur, as it were. Atmosphere is fantastic, food tasty with only the service a little lacking, but it is service with a smile.

Then we ran into a book sale at the Palos Verde Library. It’s a cute, library with a number of floors…maybe four..set upon a hill behind the town center where you’ll find the Yellow Rose.

When you drive into Palos Verde via Palos Verde Drive from Redondo Beach…you do feel like you are entering another world, or as I mentioned before, the South of France. Even the note for the books indicates that you are in a different part of SoCal.

This is the fountain/waterfall at the base of the library. Like I said, just a wonderful part of the world. Calming. In fact, I want to take a nap in the sun next to the fountain/waterfall as I write this!

This shot is just about a 2-minute drive down the hill from the Library. It’s looking north/northwest with the Palos Verde Club in the foreground followed by Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Playa Del Rey, Marina Del Rey, Venice and Santa Monica in the distance…

This was unveiled at CinemaCon today.

Ran into the EpicMealTime crew yesterday in Hollywood at their secret laboratory aka The Castle. Had no idea they were cooking up today’s video… making a 100-lb Chocolate Bar out of God knows what. Doesn’t matter, cuz this is their religion and they have more than 4.2-million subscribers in their indigestion congregation.

They’re great guys. Met ‘em about five months ago. Wild Canadiens on the run south of the border. Something about a puck, a hockey stick and some olive oil. Dunno. However, I’m happy to see that their success continues to build. After you check out this vid, take a look at the video where they make Cheeseburger Ravioli…that is Cheeseburger Size Ravioli that has a Cheeseburger inside the fresh made pasta.  Insane.

I mean, really, take a look at those chocolates! Incredible. Just one of the fantastic finds at Brooklyn’s Smorgasburg Food Festival, which kicked off today in Williamsburg. It’ll happen every Saturday until the weather turn cold again and everyone goes back inside.

The above confections are from a great maker called John & Kira’s. I love their tag line, “Real People, REALLY GOOD Chocolates.” Nibbled on a hand-painted Lady Bug. Exceptionally tasty and light. One last thing from the opening-weekend of Smorgasburg.  Found a great tea company called Bellocq Tea Atelier.

The store is in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. Had an EXCELLENT Afghan Chai Tea. Super yum. Super nice people behind the booth table. The company was set-up on Kings Road in London before coming to Brooklyn.  It’s all award-winning, handcrafted teas.
